TEAYAN is a small family business based in Armenia.
With eight geographical, seven climatic, nine altitudinal and sixteen soil zones, as well as more than half of all Transcaucasia’s plant species and two-thirds of all bird species found in Europe, the small area of Armenia is a region of stunning biotopes. The Armenian Highlands are the most central and highest of the three plateaus that together form the northern part of Western Asia.
80% of TEAYAN’s bouquets include wild-picked or grown herbs and fruits in Tavush and Gegharkunik marzes. These regions are devoid of mines and chemical plants.
Tavush region is located in the north-eastern part of Armenia. The highest point is Murghuz -2993 m a.s.l. Gegharkunik is the largest marz of Armenia. Lake Sevan occupies most of the territory of the region (1278 km2), which is the largest lake in the Caucasus, and it is also one of the largest freshwater highland lakes in the world.
OUR HISTORY
TeaYan founder and marketing director Astghik Galstyan and her husband, TeaYan financial director Vardan Harutyunyan founded the company in 2018. Astghik has been interested in local herbs since the age of six, and he started his journey by learning about it. ancient Armenian medicine and herbal mixtures. Later, he continued his career in the field of pharmaceuticals for almost 15 years. However, she quit her job after the birth of her second child. This is when he decided to create TeaYan Exclusive Herbal Teas, hoping to introduce Armenian nature and herbs to the world. Now TeaYan has five unique herbal bouquets that have already managed to gain many customers in Armenia, USA and Europe.
